Comic Review: Daytripper

Daytripper is a fabulous comic by Fàbio Moon and Gabriel Bà, about the moments in life that we all remember. The moments that make the most impact aren't the big ones, like presidential elections, winning awards, etc., but small ones, like spending a quiet moment with a loved one. The story follows Brás de Oliva Domingos, a fictitious Brazilian writer who started his career writing obituaries for the local paper. In condensing others' lives - and deaths - to a few words, he begins to understand what really matters.

The illustrations marking new chapters are really beautiful. It's so much better in person.

Each chapter, like moments in life, has a different feel. I highly recommend this comic book to anyone ages 15 and older. It's not incredibly violent or sexual, but I think some of the ideas may go over the head of someone younger.

Live in Technicolor

Sorry for the extreme lack of updating, we've both been sort of busy but we've been making progress! For those of you that don't know I've spent the better part of a month searching for a colorist desperately and now I've finally located an excellent one. Please check out his illustrations! I just wanted to post the test panel he did because I'm basically in love with it and I'm very excited about the future of Aurora Sanction!
